Job Summary
The Legal Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across corporate, contract, intellectual property, and compliance matters for DeepHealth and its entities. Operating within the Legal team across France, the Netherlands, and the US, this role advises management and cross-functional teams on a broad range of legal topics spanning French and international law, contributing to the company’s regulatory compliance and risk management objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advise management on legal aspects related to the corporate life of the company.
• Draft and validate necessary legal documents in collaboration with the company’s lawyers.
• Draft, negotiate, and validate international and national partnership contracts, scientific consortiums, clinical studies, and general terms and conditions.
• Advise and assist the Sales team in the negotiation and conclusion of sales contracts and partnership agreements.
• Advise all departments on various legal topics, excluding HR and social law matters.
• Ensure the compliance of contracts with current legislation.
• Monitor and share knowledge on the latest regulations, including Product liability, AI Act, and MDR.
• Coordinate public tenders with relevant teams and assess associated risks.
• Provide advice on licensing, transfers, and rights protection issues.
• Analyze and provide legal memoranda on intellectual property matters, including open source licensing.
• Manage and coordinate with relevant teams the process for compliance with regulatory obligations under LEA.
• Monitor regulatory obligations and train relevant teams on LEA and applicable processes.
• Identify and assess legal risks across the business.
• Manage pre-litigation matters and coordinate litigation with external lawyers.

Job requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:
• Master’s degree in Law (LLM or equivalent); CAPA or Bar admission required. (Required)
• 5+ years of experience as a legal manager, in-house counsel, or in a law firm in a relevant practice area. (Required)
• Experience in a law firm, ideally with exposure to healthcare, technology, or life sciences. (Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, corporate law, and/or health law. (Required)
• Experience with international contracts and cross-border legal matters. (Required)
• Familiarity with healthcare and technology regulations, including MDR, AI Act, or Product liability frameworks. (Required)
• Experience with public tenders and procurement processes. (Preferred)
• Excellent legal writing, drafting, and negotiation skills. (Required)
• Proficient in legal research and analytical reasoning. (Required)
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a detail-oriented approach. (Required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise and influence non-legal stakeholders. (Required)
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, required. (Required)
• Fluency in French, both written and spoken, required. (Required)

Physical Demands
